Dr. Thomas Bellavia, MD to Serve on New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force

Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, June 21, 2010 – Dr. Thomas Bellavia, MD, DABFP, founder of Heights Medical of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, was recently invited to serve on the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Task Force as the Family Physician member by Commissioner Poonam Alaigh, MD, MSHCPM, FACP.

“I am honored to be a part of this Task Force as Chronic Kidney Disease has touched my family as it does families throughout New Jersey,” states Dr. Bellavia.

Dr. Bellavia, along with other members of the CKD Task Force will offer recommendations for addressing CKD in the state of New Jersey. Starting this month, the team will develop a comprehensive and cost effective plan for improving chronic kidney disease outcomes across the state.
